This product has been engineered over 12 years to do what no one else has been able to do. We designed the lock as a more efficient and stronger version of our old lock (which was too labor-intensive to manufacture and install at an acceptable price point) and built the door around it. We explored hundreds of different materials. We build for strength, fire resistance, ballistic capabilities, weight, impact protection, safety, and security. This is a step above the Residential grade. We added extra layers of Kevlar to go above the UL-rated ballistic panels. We stop the bullet in the first ¾ of the door stopping any energy from affecting the surface of the interior surface of the door skin. This we tested and got certification for building code standards. The lock is ADA compliant; all the bolts will retract with either of the actuators. We build for strength, fire resistance, ballistic capabilities, weight, impact protection, safety, and security.
